Allah is a generic god of Middle Eastern peoplesReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by jaimito (Israel), Aug 6, 2005 at 02:56 Siryan Jews colloquially use Allah and it has no specific religious meaning. Today, Allah certainly does not refer to Hubal the Moon goddess whatever that may be. The Aramean Allaha is Elohim, another plural concept.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
