vet indivuduals and don't cooperate with islamic organizations

Reader comment on item: Smoking Out Islamists via Extreme Vetting
in response to reader comment: In-order to defeat Islamism support moderate Muslims and for sure never support the Muslim Brotherhood

Dhimmi no more, I am more optimistic. In the light of this article I do belive that vetting individuals is the effective way to go.

In the past people had simply been allowed in. As a consequence governments across the West tried to delegate the trouble to and cooperated with islamic organizations. That alone, talking to organizations over talking to individuals, promoted islam to a political position in the West.

When I say that we need free muslims in a free Western society in order to defeat islamism I do see limits. Say 3-4 million Turks in Germany are a muslim group large enough to achieve it. No need for Merkel to allow another million in from other countries. The Turks in Germany so far have proved that one can have a large muslim group without the islamist acitivity. That statement sadly has been proved true for the Turks alone with other much much smaller muslim groups breeding islamists (including Western converts).

Trump had the sensible focus in his speech to congress. He avoided too much of a discussion about islam. He rather supported law enforcement and a single America soldier. That display of loyalty along with some form of, in islamist terms, martyr worship, will be well understood by oriental people. And again, on a higher level, he addressed Congress rather than some islamic organization, in order to combat islamism.
