People are people and not ideology

Reader comment on item: Smoking Out Islamists via Extreme Vetting
in response to reader comment: The real problem is neither "muslims" nor "islamists"

Marlan, sometimes I have an equivalent impulse. But a dear friend of mine is a muslim from a soon-to-be-banned-from-immigration country. I want to eat my Döner Kebab. I want my occasional open blade shave in a Turkish place. I cannont live a strict position, not even for a single day. People are people and not ideology.

Your post is marked 'Belgium'. Cut the muslims some slack! When the jihadis planned to invade France a long time ago they came not through Belgium but through Spain. Those people who did come through Belgium centuries later did the damage. And it were not even the Nazis with their ideology who caused the most carnage. It were my great grand fathers who fired millions of shells to be found until today in abundance around your farmlands. No muslims involved in Belgium's darker years.

But I agree with the general association in your comparison. I'd love to find a stash of hidden SS-uniforms from back in the day. I'd put an IS-logo shoulder patch on each one and sell them on ebay. Whoever bids cannot be trusted. Single-click-vetting this is.
