Ineffective ban

Reader comment on item: Smoking Out Islamists via Extreme Vetting

Submitted by Anon (United States), Jan 31, 2017 at 18:06

The ban on 7 countries is ineffective since it does not include British and other European jihadist muslims holding Western passports. Saudis and Pakistanis have participated much more in terrorism on US soil compared to the 7 nationalities that have been targeted. Iranians have not been involved in terrorism in the West at all and there is no Iranian currently in Gitmo. Iran is also the biggest enemy of ISIS and banning Iranians from entering the US serves no purpose other than to cause pointless pain to individuals who have nothing to do with terrorism.

I accept your point about Great Britain (see http://www.danielpipes.org/8706/britain-export-islamist-terrorism) but you are wrong that there's been no Iranian violence in the West. There's been plenty; perhaps the most notorious example was at the Mykenos Restaurant in Berlin.
