The christmas market attack in Berlin added another lesson to learn. That islamist was going to be sent back to his home country of Tunesia. Tunesia however was reluctant to say the least to take its citizen back. North Africa by and large dump their criminals into Europe. This is a one way street. Entry into Europe is easy - return to North Africa is blocked by the countries of origin.

Note that the more recent attacks in Europe were not committed by long-time believing islamists. These people were experienced violent criminals in the first place who only turned islamist very late.

The US, and Europe for that matter, should not let people in coming from countries that would resist their return.
