Feeling left out?

Reader comment on item: Smoking Out Islamists via Extreme Vetting

Do you now regret being a never Trump leader?

Look at the barrage of bad press Trump is getting promoting the very ideas you've been yearning for. Did you think a polished politician would be able to sustain the vicious attacks by the main stream media (hoax stream media), the Republican and Democrat establishment, and foreign leaders? Maybe its time to eat your hat, apologize and jump into the fray and help out like your friend Bolton. I, at least, hope you are tempted. Is there anyone else with your track record of predicting events in the Middle East? Please reconsider your position. In France there is a wonderful expression: "Sometimes you have to add a little water to the wine."

Daniel Pipes replies:

I stand by my position. Yes, Trump has taken some excellent steps (notably the Gorsuch nomination) but, overall, his first days in office are chaotic, amateurish, and as scary as we of the #NeverTrumpNorHillary disposition expected.
