Too trueReader comment on item: The Next London Bombing Submitted by Neil (United Kingdom), Jul 13, 2005 at 14:28 As a former British Army Special Forces officer and former exchange officer with the US Army I have some experience in the field of counter-terrorism. I have to agree with Daniel's comments on the feebleness of the British government's attitude to Muslim terrorism. Many Brits pull their hair out at the pathetic response to the threat so clearly evident to anyone with an open mind. Of course our politicos are now so PC, and our Police and agencies much the same, that there is no hope of dealing with the closed minds of the terrorist until our own people open theirs. The closed society of the theocratic state is our opponent but our government has been weak in addressing the reality of life in the UK and what has been developing there. Better to keep your mouth shut and not risk your career. Well, the truth will be out and the useless leaders we have today are facing the result of their weakness and appeasement. They will be singing a different tune soon. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
