The reason Muslims especially flock to these shores, and indeed the rest of Europe, is to spread the word of Islam. It is one of the pillars of their way of life in fact. Islam is more than a faith. Our very democracies provide the ideal breeding ground, and breeding is one of the operative words. They can use it against us, but by the same token, we are unable to use it against them. If and when we do, it will no longer be a democracy.
Successive administrations, (you cannot call this shower a government) have failed to come to terms with the problem. It is in their eyes too thorny a nettle to grasp. Why? other countries do it. The Islamic ones are past masters. Saudi Arabia for example, the home of Islam, debars all except actual workers, and some dependants. They must return to their home country when their business is done. That applies even to those misguided souls who convert to Islam. No Christian places of worship are allowed. Oman, much more enlightened, allows tourists, but no settlers. The Emirates have realised that the oil is running out, and they need another source of revenue, but they pick and choose: You have to have money. Agreed, Muslims are very much in the 7th Century. with the harshness and inflexibility of sharia law. There is a story, probably apocryphal that an air hostess with **** ****airways was fired for announcing 'Ladies and Gentlemen, we are about to land at ****** airport, kindly set your watches back 2,000 years!
