Islamism?

Reader comment on item: Trump: You Should Ban Islamists, Not Muslims
in response to reader comment: There is no such thing as an "islamist" - their Qur'an calls them "muslims!" And crime-gangs are already illegal.

Well done, Unk. But please explain what differentiates Islamism from Islam. Islamism is supposed to be the concept of global imposition of shari'ah. But 9.33 & 48.28 call Muslims to make "islam superior to all other religions", meaning: dominant. Ain't that Islamism? If not, then what is it?

Since "only Allah has the right to be worshipped" and only Allah and his Messenger have the right to legislate, rule & govern, Islam entails imposition of Shari'ah. Muslims are told in 2.256 that they can not compel us to convert, then told, in 3.110, that they are the best of peoples for the people, as they bring us to Islam with chains on our necks. [Bukhari 6.60.80] That leaves imposition of Shari'ah, which is Islamism.

I eagerly await your explantion, and that of Dr. Pipes.
