Reply to Ghengis GhandiReader comment on item: Spreading Islam in American Public Schools Submitted by Patriotchick (United States), Apr 19, 2005 at 01:55 Hilarious!(And, as a teacher with a large test-prep service, I must agree.) BTW: regarding the generally benighted-liberal mindset of most folks in education: Another teacher recently wrote a sample SAT essay for possible inclusion in our prep materials which opined that, "by most objective measures", the invasion of Iraq was "an abject failure." Call me silly, but: A) the deposing of a tyrant (and a mass-murdering one, at that) B) free elections, participated in with pride and excitement C) pro-democracy stirrings elsewhere in the world (less objectively measureable, but likely inspired by Afghanistan & Iraq) aren't what I think of as an abject failure. Rather (for all the sweat, blood, tears and setbacks), this is a triumph of the human spirit. I wonder if the essay will be used.
