Reader comment on item: Spreading Islam in American Public Schools

Submitted by Tyer Mathaowny (United States), Apr 14, 2005 at 15:15

The only fault with your reasoning on "no religion in school" is the fact that the class was not to teach children to follow any particular religion but to learn and understand them. World Religions was a class taught in all of my schools when I was younger, and if the parent does not want their child learning something, then they should not ruin it for the rest of the class but simply pull their child out of that class if they're so concerned.
World Religions is the class specificalluy made for teaching religions; obviously you do not have children old enough to be in school or you have not checked up on your argument.
