Reader comment on item: "You can't fight Islamism with ideas coming out of Europe"

The answer is in economy. We are focusing on the tip of the iceberg. Why not go to the source?

Islamist have power today because of petro $. We should no longer be petro-dependent. We should adopt ecological sources of power. This, for our planet and to balance this present politlcal problem. One major step would be to switch to electric activated car. This would reduce greatly the source of $ = power of the Arab countries and put us back in a balance of power to engage some kind of negociation.
