Marcus' Laws of Electoral Democracy in Muslim-Majority Countries

Reader comment on item: "You can't fight Islamism with ideas coming out of Europe"

Submitted by G Marcus (United States), Dec 1, 2010 at 23:02

1. Eventually all electoral democratic systems converge on the lowest
common denominator.

2. In Moslem-majority countries this can only be Islamism.

3. Electoral systems in all Moslem-majority countries, if left alone
"without interference", will therefore eventually always converge on
Islamism.

4. Having converged on Islamism as result of electoral
democracy running its course, then the time will come to do away with
electoral democracy and replace it with the Shariah regime (the only
one permitted and aspired by Islamism).

----

Examples of Interference in Electoral Democracy:
Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon (electoral system),
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey (1923-1997).

Examples of Non-Interference in Electoral Democracy:
Iran, Iraq, Palestinian Auth., Turkey (1997-?).
