Report is accurate; needs to be followed by deedsReader comment on item: Salam Fayyad Says Yes to Jews Living in a Palestinian State Submitted by DK (United States), Jul 13, 2009 at 22:35 I was at the presentation, and the press reports are accurate. The challenge is that the statements that Fayyad made, while they do fit with a worldview garnered during the long periods of time he has spent living in the West, are likely to be far different from the views of many of the people he must govern. Nonetheless, there is no time like the present. There are already Jews in these cities, as well as other minorities in the areas the Palestinians already control. Fayyad ought to be laying the groundwork today in the regions he oversees for rule of law and peaceful coexistence. Seeing is believing.
