Dear Mr. Pipes,

You made three great comments to Fayyad's assurance.
If I may add one more:
If Jews are (will be) so welcome in the future Palestinian State, what is the point of clearing them out prior to the creation of the hospitable democratic State and even making such a cleansing one of the main and necessary preconditions for such a creation? Just to invite them back the next day after the Palestinian State is born?

Reiteration of Fayyad's promises in Ramallah in Arabic may be less important than sending copies of its English transcript to the US State Department, to George Mitchell, to Mr. Obama, and three other fiddlers in the Quartet.

It may serve as a good brain cleanser to those making Jewish presence in the West Bank the chief obstacle for peace, as if self-cleansing Jews from Gaza has never happened.
