Submitted by travis (India), Feb 17, 2009 at 17:35 Despite a wall of obfuscation by the news media, today's news details indicate that the Beltway Snipers were indeed motivated by the desire to terrorize America on behalf of their Nation of Islam ideology: "We are going to terrorize this nation," Malvo said Muhammad told him before the pair embarked on the October 2002 sniper spree....Muhammad's goal was to terrorize the Washington area by killing six people a day for a month, Malvo testified. A second round of attacks would involve even more killing, using explosive devices loaded with ball bearings, he said.... Malvo quoted Muhammad as saying, "The chicken's come home to roost."
