Islam does NOT spread terrorism

I don't know what you are referring to. Would like to read that article though.

I'm a Muslim, so I would definitely not agree with anyone who says that Islam is a millitant religion.

Firstly, you must give 'concrete proof'. I see only talk and no proof.

I'll give my proof. Islam is based upon the teachings of the Holy Quran. So I'll quote from the Book itself to say what Islam actually stands for.

"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. (The Noble Quran, 2:190)"

Points to be noted here:
1. Fighting is to be done only against those who fight you. That is, you are not to be the aggressors, but the defenders;
2. Fighting is not to be for personal reasons but for God alone;
3. There are certain limits in fighting which are not to be trangressed.

Where is the 'militant' perspective here? What is unfair in the above verse?

I mention here only one verse that is sufficient evidence to say that Islam does not spread terrorism. In fact it says:

"...if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people...(The Noble Quran, 5:32)"

This verse clearly says that killing any person, whether it be a Muslim or non-Muslim, except for murder or some other crime, is a huge sin.

If you still think that Islam spreads terrorism, produce your proof.
