Maybe democracy isn't for everyone

Your appraisal of Bush's approach is hopeful. Yes, it will be an interesting ride, but a scary one too.

One thing worries me: How does one make a people democratic where there is absolutely no history of democracy and where they seem to prefer a dictatorship? Maybe they don't want democracy. Maybe democracy is not for everyone...
