Could George Bush really have a soul for American casualties?Reader comment on item: Bush the radical Submitted by Lee Kaplan (United States), Nov 14, 2003 at 00:13 I've never liked George Bush. I have felt he was little more than a Saudi puppet who may have actually unintentionally aided the perpetrators of 9/11 to succeed by developing an internal governing policy not to "offend" the Saudi royal family under any circumstances. Likewise I have always felt he was beating up on Israel to protect the Saudis. HIs familial relationship with the Carlyle Group and failure to even try to stop the Saudi money train from funding Hamas and terroragainst Israelis would leave me hopping mad. Not to mention Ken Lay and Enron getting a pass for stealing everyone's retirement money.Yet my chin hit the floor when I read his comments about democracy. Three months ago his administration was ready to line up with the Arabs against Israel to get campaign money from CAIR and the other Saudi front groups but now he is acting as a true leader should. Is this just rhetoric about making it a priority to bring democracy to the Arab countries or is he serious? I believe he is serious. And I believe the reason why is maybe he actually does care about our boys being killed over in Iraq by terrorists he knows are aided and abetted by the Saudis. And maybe, just maybe, he is presidential enough material to say, "Enough!", and take a stand in trying to clean up all the trash in the Arab world. Next stop we hope will be Yasser Arafat.
