Reader comment on item: Bush the radical

Submitted by Ruth Lowry (United States), Nov 13, 2003 at 17:53

Dear Mr.Pipes,

If President Bush is "radical," he is so in a GOOD way. With patience, fortitude on the part of America and its' allies (however few just now); with forsight and determination, we will, over time, exterminate those who are "radical" in a BAD way.

Of course there are those among us who are NEVER satisfied and will complain at the drop of a hat ... or a bomb. These critics of our President do not even have "tunnel vision:" they have NO vision other than that of a "utopia" where everyone throughout the world is "kissy - sweet: where people throw flowers at others, instead of RPG'S.

Humans as a whole, with some exceptions of course, have undergone a huge change since the WWII era. Their attitudes lead me to believe they favor "politically correct" wars. "Oh my ... don't KILL a civilian," they intone. "Dear Lord! A CHILD has been shot," they cry out. "Our soldiers are being killed!" They must think WAR is merely one big ping - pong game.

George W.Bush has been called just about every nasty name in circulation, and a few recently "invented." "His reasons for war" have been anything and everything but THE reason ... to hit and defeat the enemy before they hit us and our allies with multiple 9/11's resulting in millions, not thousands of deaths: including those who cannot seem to see beyond their latest paycheck or demonstration for "peace."

President Bush is NOT an "imperialist" or "oil lusting Nazi" anymore than "Jews used the blood of Christian babies" to make Matzah; or that they intend to rule "the world." If "blood" was used to make Matzah, it would be RED, not white. If Jews plan to rule the world (and actually do so by "proxy") as was stated by Mahathir), they would have already "conquered" the entire Mideast and be on their way to Hawaii.

I think the main problem is that half the world at least, has not yet caught up with civilization.
