it is my belief that creating a buffer is effective only if the other side agrees to stay "on their side. Unfortunately, the "pals" won't. They'll continue to try to cross illegally to kill Jews, and they'll just get bigger rockets with longer range to shell Israeli towns. These people live in a culture of death, mayhem, and Jew-hate. We cannot continue to appease these people and hope they'll "grow up". It's not going to happen. Putting up a buffer zone wide enough won't work, because you would have to uproot more Israeli towns, making the Gush Katif fiasco look mild by comparison! You cannot cure a cancerous growth by putting more bandages on top of it. You cure a cancer by surgically removing it. This is what must be done in Gaza, West Bank, and other areas in Israel in order for her to survive.
