Collective PunishmentReader comment on item: Cut Gaza's power? Submitted by Griswel (United States), Sep 6, 2007 at 18:07 Given Hamas' election, and the terrorist policies of both Hamas and Fatah, there is every reason to believe that palestinians (especially those in Gaza) favor terrorism. The attacks on Israel are less than what the palestinian people themselves wish were taking place. Given that, shutting off power and the like is fine. Collective punishment is a perfectly acceptable means of dealing with collective guilt. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
