why not take lesson from Lebanon? Reader comment on item: Cut Gaza's power?

Dear Daniel,
You say that we should cut off power, supplies, etc. you state: As for the inevitable objection that tough measures will generate ill-will toward Israel, the reply is easy: back when the IDF did deploy deterrent tactics, the country enjoyed a much higher standing internationally.
Why not mention the fact that the world, including the Arabs did nothing regarding Lebanon's cleaning of the refugee camp? Although Israel can not enjoy the same freedom of movement as others, still if they can do it with out the world, and the Israeli press commenting on it, surely, we should be able to do it in Gaza.
