Yes Dhimmi, I agree, the kids do need to learn about other religions.

But please Admit (after all what we are going through after 9-11) that it is also the need of the time to learn and teach what these (Muslims) are saying to us... We can't stay Ignorant about it anymore.

I have taken Arabic and Islamic courses in Berkley Univ and understood a lot about Islam. Its NOT the same as taught by Osma bin Laden and his stooges, and its confirmed by Pres. Bush also, who said that it was "one of the greatest religion on this Earth". I am seriously thinking about conversion myself. I just need a good advisor.

On your second question: Yes It was reported by CNN (while showing the report on a Blonde California girl who was raised as a Catholic and converted to Islam) that roughly "25,000 people in the US become Muslims every year" and they also reported that "It is the fastest growing religion in the US, besides all the negative propaganda against it"

The same thing is also reported by other media like ABC and NBC...
