Violence and terror is universal!

in response to reader comment: a MINDSET Problem?

After reading the eloquent comments of Mr. Thompson I would like to respectfully disagree for the following reasons:

1-Wars, aggression, terror, genocide and political motivated violence are a human phenomenon and followers of all cultures and religions have at one time or another participated in it. Hence, to try to "SELECTIVELY" convince the readers that terrorism and violence is an exclusive Muslim monopoly is negated by our collective history. This history reveals that wars and violent acts are universal!

-I would like to ask you: What kind of culture produces murderers who systematically exterminated a whole race of people in Europe during the Second World War?

-What kind of culture produces million of men and then leads them to be slaughtered on the East and Western front not so long ago?

-What kind of a religion that justify the genocide and enslavements of close to 12 million Africans during the Colombian exchange and beyond?

-Or better yet, what kind of a culture and under the guise of manifest destiny exterminates Millions of Native Americans and enslave Millions more?

I do agree that Islamic fundamentalists are a threat to world peace and stability but to proclaim that violence and terror is an exclusive Muslim phenomenon is negated by history pure and simple.

All they are trying to do is open a school that teaches Arabic……..Big deal……..! Almost every ethnic group in America does the same so why discriminate against a group of people? This is a multicultural and open society that is based on equality and freedom. Hence to deny them to teach their kids their history, religion, language and culture places the "Nay sayers" in the same boat as those fanatical "Talabah plural of Talib << student>>" (Taliban) who in the name of their religion deny children education.

Imagine what would happen when Mr. Thompson aproaches a Catholic Irish from Northern Ireland who is trying to open a school to teach Irish kids & trying to level this irational argument to prevent him from doing so because of the violence & Terror in Northern Ireland ! lol

Respectfuly
