Response to "The Only True Religion"

Reader comment on item: Harvard Loves Jihad

Mr. Anonymous:

...you may be right; the rest of us don't seem to have your social problems.
If you are completely serious when you make such statements, you should keep in mind that Islam has made its own enemies and will have to answer to them.
If the rest of us 'know' that Islam is the one true religion, wouldn't we become Muslims as a matter of course? Do you begin to see the problem?
Applying logic may be the wrong strategy here; from what I've heard, the traditional Arab/Muslim mind can't/won't process logic, but instead uses its own self-contained (un)reasoning to examine the outside world, much like a branch of math where the answer to every equation is '8': 1+1=8, 3 X 5=8, etc. Makes it easy to learn 'math', but tough to do business with the outside world; this sounds like Islam to me.
Everyone has to find their own answers in life, but I suspect my 'right path' doesn't include blowing up a pizza parlor. ...
