from a Muslim point of view - i think those who kill is wrong personally. jihad isnt to go and kill people or to fight with them for the sake of it its to make peace. people these days misuse the word of jihad and most people dont even know what it means!! Jihad means to struggle. Theres lesser and greater Jihad. Lesser is the community struggle. This is when the community struggles to remove evil. To make everything equal e.g. to give zakat (money/help the poor) and Greater jihad is the personal struggle. which is things like Muslims struggling to control thier bad desires, struggling to perform the five pillars etc.

war is only to be fought on self defence! and if Islam is at threat. There are conditions that apply to Jihad- these are Muslims can only be involved in collective defence when: all other ways of trying to settle a dispute have failed, if every effort has been made to protect innocent civilans life e,g, Muslims are bing hurt killed kicked out of thier own homes etc and to protect plants and animals, if Muslims arent allowed to practise their religion which i think is no harm reall,y because we just worship allah, not disturbing anyone and being good like the way we live. islam teaches me alot because when i read namaz i feel propa good. i feel like i'm not going to do wrong things like hurting peoples feelings, help everyone out, and the people that ...hate Islam teaches me to forgive them, which is very hard!

anyways carrying on with the conditions it can be applied if a religious leader whose athority is accepted by Muslims in the community, ...all able bodied Muslim men must fight (women not beacuse men are obv harder, stronger, even tho i hate admitting it buh its true, women are left to and dont go to fight because they should look after the old people, the children, family business etc.) If the community is suffering under tyrant, it is under attack and needs to restore its freedom.

i personaly think that jihad is prevent as many people being killed, hurt etc because its apply conditions instead of not thinking and killin and going to war.

people dont have the knowledge these days n think al sorts about Muslims buh i belive that its stopping people as much as it can from being aggressive

thanx for reading my big essay n i would like to say that suicebombers etc cant call dem selfs Muslims because its haram (which means not allowed in islam) for a muslim to kill dem self 4 da sake ov killin oders its sick) and i have only learnt about jihad dis year (am in yr 13 in college am a sixth form student) when im a muslim buh am sure there is many muslims out there tht also dont have a clue wht jihad means and people think it means holy way. ok yes holy war buh has many many rules tht people ave to follow instead of attack people instead of defending and not startin fights, wars etc first

thanx from zehanb
