I rethought your naive comments

Reader comment on item: Harvard Loves Jihad
in response to reader comment: I would urge you to rethink your comments

We all know what Jihad is supposed to mean. The fact is there are millions of muslims who ignore the supposed koranic meaning and choose to violently interpret it otherwise. We can all theorize about what 'real' Muslims are like (moderate, peaceful, tolerant etc.) until we are blue in the face, but these people are not driving the direction Islam is moving in.

Islam has been hijacked by the hateful, grotesquely violent radical fundamentalists, and the rest of Islam does nothing to change this. The silence of the so called majority is shocking and terrribly disturbing. All of Islam is now a festering disease waiting to infect the rest of the world. If we pause for a moment and reflect on the cartoon nonsense, we can see how the "passions" are so easily inflamed.

Who cares if Muslims are offended by the practices and beliefs of other people in other countries. Why should we care for their sensitivities or bestow respect on such openly biggoted people. We are subjected to their abussive racists views on a daily basis. They openly hate us and want to kill us. And they are outraged at comic depictions! Who do they think they are? ...It is utterly useless to discuss what Islam is supposed to be, when it has so radically and utterly departed from the prescribed path. It's too late, Islam is destined to drown in the blood it spills....
