"Academic Freedom"

Reader comment on item: Harvard Loves Jihad

Submitted by Bob Kaplan (United States), Jun 15, 2002 at 15:06

I have found that the major (prestigious?) universities who promote these ideas in the name of academic freedom are not nearly as open to opposing, pro-American ideas. With all these pro-Palestinian organizations on campus, is the climate as welcoming for pro-American, pro-Israeli groups? I think not. Thanks for your continuing insight into the incongruity of this type of thinking.
