Reader comment on item: Harvard Loves Jihad

Submitted by Wallace Brand (United States), Jun 23, 2012 at 01:56

Harvard held a conference on "A One [Arab Majority] State Solution to the Arab Israeli Conflict on March 3,4. I sought to participate and after being turned down by the sponsors, sought help from Harvard President Faust, a historian. My topic would have been A One Lawful Jewish State Solution based on the San Remo Agreement and would have presented some Middle East history obscured by time and anti-semitism and anti-Zionism.

All I got from Faust's aide was a press release stating that Harvard did not endorse the conference and remained "a free and open Marketplace of Ideas. Not free for mine, however. I had to pay the Harvard Crimson for an ad. Harvard Professor Alan Dershowitz described the panel of Arab intellectuals and Israeli post Zionism history revisionists as" an anti-semitic and anti Zionist hate fest".

What has happened to the University as "a free and open marketplace of ideas"? UCLA too.
