Not so easy...

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Problem?

Hi Nuray,

No, I certainly don't have a problem with people who are not like me. I actually enjoy the variance in people I encounter. Living as a Christian is not so easy either. Our worldview is so vastly different from that which we live in, that we effectively suffer some degree of detatchment and ridicule from our surrounding communities.

For instance, in High School my commitment to Christ cost me all of my friends but one (she's now my wife). In hindsight it would've been difficult to let my friends go, but with God, I didn't really need them that badly anyhow. God is a far higher priority. Thanks for responding to my post, and giving some more info on Mohammed. I find history extremely interesting anyway, so I'm probably going to do more research. I also appreciate your interaction without any hostility (with those of us who hold strong convictions with God it can get that way). Thanks again! Also, regarding the eyewitness testimony of the followers of Mohammed, if you can count that as good proof, then the testimony of those who saw Christ resurrected and ascend into heaven surely cannot be discounted, don't you think?

There are plenty of extra-Biblical supporting features, such as archaeology, secular texts, and recorded church historical documents that point to the New and Old Testaments as being more accurate than many hisory text books. What are your thoughts on that? Thanks!
