Being a family requires having consensus on almost every subject. Religion is not an exception. Religious couples usually share the same belief. One of them could be ex-Muslim or ex-Jews etc.

Religions originally from Middle East give priority to men. Can anyone deny it? I don't think so. Men can marry non-Muslims but Women can't do that. What's wrong with this? Women live in man-dominated society at every century. They usually accept the religion of their husbands or partners. This is how it works.

It is diffucult for couples to practice their own religions. Children will get confuse what to choose. Religious education starts from birth ends till death. Children can not get along with two different religions at home.
