Re: Muslims vs HispanicsReader comment on item: "Pasha Bordello" Accepts Islamist Demands Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), May 27, 2006 at 14:31 I often make comparisons between Muslim immigration in Europe and Mexican immigration in the USA. At some point, I have talked about the Asians going to Australia. All I am trying to say is that there are similarities in the way these countries open up their borders for un-checked immigration. Australia is the exception, because they have stopped Afgnans and Iraqis a few years back, in 2002. The basic principle is that the will of the people- European, American, Australia- can be by-passed by the media, big business and subservient politicians. The European media has been very pro-Muslim and pro-immigration. I don't know much about the Australian and American media. I guess we can joke about Hispanic contribution to American culture: Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek are interesting people. They look interesting. However, the basic principle is always the same. The will of the people does not count. It is the big business and the media who decide the policy. Of course, in Europe we face a much more sinister threat. Islamic terrorism and fundamentalism are taking root in the continent. The Islamic veil is now widely accepted. Christianity- both Catholic and Protestant- is discriminated against. Pasha Bordello is foced to accept Islamist demands. The situation seems less worrying in the USA, with Mexamerica being less of a threat than Eurabia. But, I still think that every country should be able to control its own borders, and it does not matter if immigrants are Muslims, Hispanics or Asians. The perfect immigration system is, in my opinion, European immigration to North America in the twentieth century. The Irish, the Italians, the Germans and the Poles all went to the USA legally and became Americans. It should be the same with Muslims in Europe.
