Keep this in perspectiveReader comment on item: "Pasha Bordello" Accepts Islamist Demands Submitted by Bilal (Canada), Apr 26, 2006 at 13:29 I can imagine the Muslim protestors demanded the removal of Saudi Flag as it has the Arabic shahada on the flag - which is the first fundamental verse that a believer recites and is the core aspect of the faith. Perhaps this persuasion could have been done more peacefully by talking with the owner of the brothel and educating him. The issue is not one of hypocrisy - because if we talk about abuse or sexual abuse and sex tourism - no side is immune. Pornography/escort service is a billion dollar industry in much of the Western World. Sex abuse is abundant on all sides. 99.99% Muslim male only has one wife. There are laws restricting when and how many wives one person can have. Serial Monogamy where one marries, divorces and marries again or having multiple sexual partners is common in West where the institution of marriage is under fire - recently seen in the debates over gay marriages and the ever increasing number of couples living common-law. By taking extreme examples and labelling the entire population as hypocrite is illogical and shows narrow mind frame.
