I wasn't justifying their behavior

I was merely responding to someone's comment that Catholics, Protestants and Jews would never engage in that level of radical behavior.

Most western men who engage in "sex tourism" aren't perverts looking for underage or homosexual encounters. If such things were freely discussed, you'd probably be surprised to learn what types of men use the services of prostitutes nationally and abroad. They're college professors, lawyers, CEOs and CPAs; Democrats and Republicans, of all races, ages and socio-economic backgrounds. But whether they're Muslim, Christian or Jewish, one thing is for certain, the men who pay for it on an hourly basis are far less likely to be relgious extremists.

Islamic extremists scare me too, though they have far less impact on my life than the religious right in this country do. I don't understand why people of any faith feel the need to impose their religious views on others.
