Dear John,

I am sorry to say that you sound more naive than Nuray. I can understand him talking like this because his faith and training does not allow him to question or research anything. That is why he keeps on re-playing the same old casette without even pausing to think once. But what is stopping you from applying a little common sense ( along with your imagination ) ?

Do you know who Gnostics are ? Gnostics are a group of people who claim knowlege about God They also have certain elements of pre christian Greek faiths and philosophies. Plus they also mix Jesus into their scheme of things. You also find them accepting and propogating books like the Book of judas to the acts of Thomas to the gospel of Mary Magdelene etc. etc. These books contradict the teachings in the Bible and are regarded as spurious and of dubious origin and not accepted by the Roman Catholic Church or any other true Churches. What makes you say that the Roman Catholic Church is Gnostic ?

Simon-the-sorcerer was a magician of Samaria who tried to offer money to St Paul in order to buy the Holy Spirit that was working through Paul. Paul rightly rebuked him.Read Acts 8:9-24. What has this Simon do with the Roman Catholic Church ?

Why do you say that only the Jews will be saved ? While I love and respect Jews very much as God's chosen people. It was the community into which Jesus and most of the Apostles were born. How I wish that every Jew came to know Jesus. But I believe that just being a Jew is not sufficient to save you. Read Matt. 21:33-46 , Matt 3:9 & John 1:10-12 . I am not a Jew but I believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God and that He died on the cross for my sins. And I believe that this confession will save me because my God wants to save me, simply because He loves and his mercy endures for ever. Jews did not believe in Jesus. If Jews are to be saved inspite of their unbelief in Jesus and if non-Jews are not to be saved inspite of believing in Him then the sacrifice of Jesus would have been vain. Which is not so.

I will never say that my Church has not made mistakes in the past. But that does not give you the right to invent all this crap about my Church and publish the same on this site. What have you been studying for 40 years ? Or are you are from one of those Christian denominations that believe that all other Christians will rot in hell ? Instead of unsuccessfully trying to link Roman Catholicism to Islam you should simply read the Bible and pray to Jesus to give you the gift of understanding his word ? Amen.

-Francis
