Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: All prophets did their work perfectly

I disagree with several of the things you said. You said muslims count for half of the worlds population but that's an outright falacy. I understand that might be the desire of your heart but that does not mean it's reality. There are an estimated 1.2 to 1.5 billion muslims. The world population is of 6 billion souls. Obviously your imam gave you a wishful estimation instead of the real one. Christianity has 2.1 billion adherents. Therefore Christianity will reach the 3 billion mark before Islam does. That's if Islam ever does.

The second point you made that I disagree with is your statement that the Islamic empire extended from the English channel to the sea of Japan. That again is a falacy. Although the Islamic empire was larger than the Roman empire in land mass it never extended as far as you mentioned. The furthest westward Islamic expension was Spain. The English channel is between France and Great Britain, not Great Britain and Spain. The muslims tried to conquer France but they were stop by Charles Martel at the battle of Tours in 732AD. For the islamic empire to have reach the sea of Japan China would have to have been conquered, but it was not. So I think you are of the mark on that also.

Third, you called Muhammad a great and the last prophet sent by God. Well as a Christian who knows the history of the Biblical prophets, there is nothing in Muhammads life that qualifies him as prophet. He lived a violent life. He murdered, raped, massacred, pillaged and told false prophecies. All these acts speak to the fact that he was not a true prophet. The seal of prophets is the Lord Jesus Christ who redeemed us through his sacrifice on the cross.

One thing I do agree with you on is the fact that the extremists must be defeated. These extremists are a plague on any civilized society and must be stopped.
