Dear John M.,

God either talked to the messengers or send the angels. We religious people believe so. But, you don't like anything. How do you think God should communicate with people? If you don't believe in God this is something else.

When we read the life of messengers most of them suffered from human torture. They traveled much or simply fled to another place because their people called them mad, magician, liar etc. They had life threat or killed. It was not an easy job. The last one came 14 century ago.
Their people also asked them to show extraordinary things. Some urged them to show God. This never happened.

Mankind has shown big progress with the help of Allah. Early Egyptians were buried with their servants, treasure and pets. What a waste of lives of many slaves and animals. During life time of Muhammed, peace upon him, pagan Arabs buried baby girls. They were collecting ears and nose of death soldiers after wars like American Indians. Women was passing from one family to another as a good. He taught them to knock doors or to brash their teeth. He educated and founded great civilization from barbarian pagan Arabs. Then, I believe millions times that he was flying on a winged horse.
