Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Questions to Nuray

Nuray, someone like you was a sudanese scholar Muhammad Taha who wanted to live peacefully with non muslims by reinterpreting Quran. He wanted "nice, peaceful, peaceloving, tolerant Meccan Islam" based on Meccan ayas rather than the "harsh, violent, warlike, warmongering, flogging and stoning Medinian Islam" based on Madinan Ayas. He said Madina ayas must be rejected.
You should thank Allah that you are living with civilized kafirs and not sharia based muslims like Muhammad Taha.

In 1985 Sudanese President Ja'far Mohammed al-Nimeiri mis-used both the Sudanese legal system and Islamic Shariah, to have Muhammad Taha sentenced to death for apostasy, for which he was executed by public hanging on 18th.January 1985.
