Sharon: security and peace in my time

Reader comment on item: The Gods and the Arab-Israeli Conflict

Submitted by Elly Soerensen (Denmark), Dec 15, 2005 at 15:13

Is this what he means so that he gives himself some time to hope for the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't understand how he can state something so unrealistic as this. What about Hamas, their ultimate goal is to destroy Israel and what about Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah, the Al Aqsa Brigade. Sharon is 78 and to me it seems that he has a one-sided love affair with the terrorists on behalf of his own country. He is obsessed of making peace which will come to pieces soon enough in his hands.
