I agree with you concerning Trump's sympathy for Israel; but I will reserve judgment concerning the Kurds. After all, even the KURDS oppose one another: The Barzanis are Turkish puppets, who allow the Turks to bomb the PKK in their territory; the Talabanis and PUK are ambivalent; and the YPD and PKK have been forced by Erdogan's policies to be fiercely resistant to the Turks -- so much so, that they have at times been in league with Bashar al-Assad. Taking sides in that kerfuffle is like trying to break up an argument between a couple that are throwing pots and pans at one another: Enter at your own peril.

Donald Trump has explicitly said that he does not want to get involved with conflicts all over the world; and this is one that I believe should be on his short list.
