in response to reader comment: Why is Islam fastest-growing religion ?

Submitted by Abdullah A. (United States), Nov 3, 2005 at 00:14

It is a muslim myth, spread without backup that islam is fastest growing religion. Yes they have a very high birth rate due to poverty, lack of education and religious convictions. In USA they are mostly successful in converting under-educated minority ex- convicts and women . Actually many educated muslims are quietly leaving islam in droves. In california iranian muslims converted to christianity have their own church. In russia ten times more muslims are converting to christianity than vice versa.

Ex-muslim websites are sprouting every day . The most popular are faithfreedom.org, secularislam.org,apostatesofislam.org,and huma.org, muslimrefusenik.net, newislam.com etc . Books by ex-muslims like Ibn Warraq, Anwar Shaikh, Huma Darabi, Irshad Manji, Anwar Hikmat, Taslima Nasreen and Ali Dashti are now in the market and selling well.
