Answer to Elias: I love Indian food and music

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: What do we get from the discussions over religions?

Dear Elias,

I love Indian food and music. Indian sauces are very good, indeed. I know many Muslims including my friends go to Indian restaurants in Europe. Perhaps it is not common in India and Pakistan due to their border conflicts. But world is not only India and Pakistan.

We Muslims are supposed not to eat only pork as meat. When Muslims go to any foreign country they hesitate to eat meat which is cut by non-believers.

Quran says
"He has forbidden you only the Maytatah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allâh (or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., on which Allâh's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. " (2:173)

You can`t blame them not eating meat in Hindu restaurant in India. But In the city where I live farmers raise animals and sell them to big supermarkets. I don`t think the meat that are sold in the selves of supermarket is sacrificed to anything. I have Hindu neighbors. We use the same supermarkets to buy meat. I did`t hesitate to share their lovely food in some occasions. Any way, I hope that at least Muslims eat Indian delicious breads, vegetarian meals. How about music and movies? Don`t you have anything you shared with Muslims? I am sure you have.

"During the exchange of emails I will not respond to anybody who has no respect to holy books"
Can you please look back at your previous posts?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the beginning I thought that people want to share their knowledge on religions like me. When I see hostility in any comment I don`t respond any more. You accused me being contradicting myself. Did I lie to anybody on purpose? I respond to your comments to make myself clear. This is against me not my religion. I can forgive anything against me but not my religion. This is what we learn from our messenger Muhammed, peace upon him.

You wrote that
"You have abused the Holy Bible. You have called it "corrupt" and "man made holly book". Is this respect? Is this how you respect other peoples Holy books?. If you want respect, you have to respect others."

We Muslims believe that Bible is corrupted. Our Holy book says so. It is not my personal view. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are coming from the same source. As a Muslim, since Quran says so, I recognise all messengers including Moses and Jesus sent by Allah. This is real respect. Jews, Christiana and Muslims discuss on several matters for centuries, like the corruption of holy books. Any way, all believe the Day of Resurrection. Eventually, everybody will see who is right who is wrong.

Nuray
