To Elias: All holy books need respect

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?
in response to reader comment: Humbleness

Dear Elias,

Let's analyse what Don wrote that was extremely disturbing for me,

"You said "We Muslims don't worry about it's protection or corruption"....do you also mean its "physical protection and blessing?" ..because recently i heard American soldiers in Guantanmo were charged of flushing the "holy" Quran down a toilet. It might be a rumour or fact."

I know the story very well. Many books not holy ones are destroyed or burnt for several reasons in the history. I am educated enough to know that ideas or religions don't die with those actions.

The problem with this statement is that He abused the story by asking ""....do you also mean its "physical protection and blessing?" I got angry with the question. He tried to make fun of Allah not protecting his book from physical damages. This is not the same as making comments on basic pillars of Islam or Quran. His question asks why immanent response didn't come from Allah if exists. According to his logic perhaps an angel should have come to earth to protect our holly book. If immanent punishment was given from Allah a few people could be alive but Allah is merciful. All the doors are open for who seeks forgiveness till the end of his/her life.

I share my knowledge and views about Islam with others so that people from other religions can understand better each other and show more respect to their beliefs and cultures. During the exchange of emails I will not respond to anybody who has no respect to holly books.

I want to stick to the content of this website, "Is Allah God". This is a theological discussion not a political debate on Pakistan-India conflict. But I condemn all violent acts against innocent
people.

I should have also mentioned the other person who shares the same view with Quran. Almost 300 years ago Isaac Newton, great scientist from United Kingdom, found out the corruption of Bible after reading 30 different copies of it. He refused the trinity but he kept his belief in God. (Anyone who is interested on this matter can search Google for more information). The corruption of Bible with the addition of trinity is written in Quran 1400 century ago. Allah knows better everything.

I hope that I made myself clear.
