Dear Nuray,

In a previous mail you have asked Don to apologize for posting a derogatory (according to you) news item. Whereas in this mail you have yourself used insulting statement against the beliefs of Hinduism.

You said:

"Every Muslims knows very well that Before Islam Kaaba was full of idols. Then it was cleared from those rubbish"

By calling idol worshipping as rubbish, you have insulted me and millions of my fellow Hindus. Thus it would be appropriate for me to ask you to apologize to me and the Hindus.

By the way what on earth do you know about idol worshipping and the principles behind it? We idol worshippers are around for thousands of years and we have successfully "neutralized" several so called messengers of God in the past!!! In spite of their efforts, the idol worshippers have thrived, flourisehed and prospered.

First of all you do not understand or want to understand the underlying principles behind idol worshipping. The only knowledge about this practise that you have is from the Koran, which itself is heavely biased regarding idol worshipping. You say that "Pagan Arabs made alot of money from idols in the past", but that does not mean idol worshipping is bad - it only means that some of the followers became astray and greedy.

Some Muslims also build "Darga" on the buried bones of Sufi saints and make a lot of money from the fellow muslims. Is this a sufficient argument to say Islam is bad?

On the contrary, idol worshipping is a perfectly healthy way of worshipping the God who has no form, but still can be visualized in any form. It is utter ignorance coupled with the doggedness imbibed by Koran that makes you such a die hard iconoclast.

I remember a small incident which will, if it can, make a dent in your fortress of ignorance. Swami Vivekanand, a revered Indian Guru was on a trip to the United States, when one American asked him why Hindus worship idols. Swami Vivekanand explained to him that idols are a medium of communication with the God and they are not God themselves. This gentleman asked, "Why do you need a medium to communicate with God?" Swami Vivekanand asked back, " Tell me, if you have a friend in the next city and you want to communicate with him. You can do this in two ways. Either you can go on the top of the nearby hill and call aloud for him or you can use a telephone to talk to him. Which method will you prefer?"

Nuray understand this - In Hinduism, God has no attributable characteristics like humans. It is an entity that is fully matured. Whereas, we humans are chained in our attributes of anger, greed, lust etc. This preciously makes direct communication with God difficult, hence the need of a medium.

I am sure, the ancient Arabs, who too were Hindus in their spirit, were aware of this principle. Over the passage of time, some greedy people started taking advantage and made money from the practise of idol worshipping. The best way for Muhammed would have been to re-educate the Arabs like swami Vivekanand and bring them back on the path of righteousness. But instead Muhammed chose a violent route by denouncing the practise upheld by learned people for centuries before him !!! How pathetic !!!!!

By doing so, Muhammed created a creed of people filled with hatred towards idol worshipping and who have the best duty in Jihad as described by the Koran " To kill idol worshippers wherever you find them, besiege them and lay in wait for them...."

I want you to respond to me on this with your due apologies.
