What "I" believe?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Bradford Winstel (United States), Jul 8, 2005 at 06:53

I was raised as a Christian, and prayed to "God" as a child. As the years went by and I studied religion as an adult' I found personally that Islam is the truth for me. I don't judge what God other people believe in,only what they do to other humans, unfortunately too many of all faiths are doing evil in the name of religions that are blamed for their actions. I know inside I am praying to the same "one God-Allah" that I prayed to as a child. The only difference is that I don't believe in the divinity of Jesus, the same as the followers of Jesus did before the council of Nicaea. It really doesn't matter what any book translations say, unless you're just looking for an argument to make yourself feel superior to others."that is a sin of pride" If we could all worry about our own prayers and our own deeds, the world could be a lot easier place to live in.
