Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

If Jihad means war to extend the territory governed by Islam, as competent scholars tell us it does, then in our global age Jihad necessarily becomes global. How can we, then, accept a description that characterizes it as merely "current"? As in "the supremacism, extremism, and violence of the current Islamist phase."
