Missed the Point

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Michael Oris Howard (United States), Jun 28, 2005 at 14:43

The point concerning the God of Bible and Allah of the Koran is not the linguistic similarities between the two names, but what content is given each name in their respectives holy books. Is Allah really the same as the God of the Jews and the Christians? Who is He and what is He like? The God of Christianity is really quite different than Allah. The God of Christianity is one God who exists in three persons and the the first person of the Holy Trinity sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world because He is a God of love who can be known personally and intimately unlike Allah.
