"Allah" -- God?

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Dear Mr. Pipes,

You were kidding, weren't you? Did I misunderstand your conclusion? Is this a tongue-in-cheek article? I hope so, but if not...with all due respect, I strongly disagree with you and with President Bush. If "Allah" the "god" of the Islamic faith is the same "God" as the "God of Abraham":

1. Why not state that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, rather than just saying that
He is the "God of Abraham"? (Gen. 17:19-21; 21:12; 26:2-4; 28:13-15; 32:28; 35:9-12; Exo. 3:6)
2. Regardless of the language, why not state His Name as He stated it? (Exodus, ch. 3-5)
3. Why have a different Holy Book?
4. Why say Ishmael was the son rather than Isaac?
5. Why squabble (and FIGHT) over who the true owners of the Land are, and why not call the Land, ?Israel? (indicating the rightful Biblical owners of the Land) instead of changing all of the maps to erase the name (and the memory?) ?Israel? and to call it Palestine (which can be connected to the Philistines)?
6. Why not BLESS the people the "God of Abraham" commanded us to bless instead of cursing and killing them? (Gen. 12:1-3 and many other Scriptures)
7. Why is it considered "holy" to do so, and an action to be rewarded?
8. Etc...

We really need to end this debate once and for all by looking at the "fruit" of the Islamic faith. Upon careful examination, can't we see that this just another version of "Replacement Theology," another endless series of term twisting a.k.a. "propaganda"? We need to look at the hard, cold evidence...something the Jews AND the Christians (not to mention the rest of the world) are having to live with! We would do well to remember 9/11 and all of the other terrorist attacks which are done in the name of "Allah." Just because someone CLAIMS something, that does not make it so. There IS such a thing as worshiping a false god, no matter what you call him.

Please, at least give those victimized in the name of this "god" their dignity by not equating "Allah" with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!
