God or Allah is One and the same

Reader comment on item: Is Allah God?

Submitted by Neila Charchour Hachicha (Tunisia), Jun 28, 2005 at 08:41

As a Moslem I never imagined that we might have different Gods.

We certainly have different "interpretations" of his identity or his commandments, but he certainly is one and only one able to recognize the real believers in him.

Now the differences of interpretations are human and often based on political reasons. That's why secularism seems to me the unique way of governance in order to avoid steeling the legitimacy of God for those who believe and respect at the same time the unbelievers.

The combination of religion and politics is very dangerous within a religion and between religions.
